The purpose of the Research Education and Training (RET) Subcore is to enrich the environment for conducting high quality, high impact, interdisciplinary health disparities research by enhancing skills, fostering collaborations, and supporting disparities investigators across the learning continuum from undergraduates through established faculty investigators.
The RET:
- Provides didactic and experiential educational and training opportunities on health disparities research methods
- Fosters interdisciplinary collaborations
- Encourages and supports research related to the Center’s theme
- Creates an “umbrella” of common cause and fellowship which engages health disparities investigators across the campus and health system.
